I'm back! Finally! I have been all but completely unplugged the past few weeks and although it was a much needed break, it feels so good to be back posting again. I've missed sharing things with you! Life has been upside down during the move, as can only be expected. We are slowly and gratefully adjusting. The biggest adjustment has been the lack of noise! It is so quiet and peaceful out here on our new property. It's amazing to be able to hear even the most subtle sounds: a bee buzzing in the garden while we work, the mail truck coming by, a cat meow in the neighbor's yard. Mundane maybe, but they are all new to us. And the gardens! Oh the gardens! We really have moved right into the Garden of Eden, my friends. It is gorgeous. Things have been growing like crazy since the past owners moved out a few weeks prior to our arrival, and we have been taking a crash course in trimming, lawn mowing, gopher baiting, how to use soaker hoses, weeding, and everything else plant-related. It's exhausting but very fulfilling. London is carefully exploring her new life, always hesitant to get too far away from mom or dad and she is forever losing sight of us in our blooming yard. She particularly enjoys looking out the window at our neighbor's yard, hoping to see the doe and her fawn that have been resting under an apple tree on a regular basis. Scott started his new job and is loving the new lifestyle change that has brought (going from 80 hour work weeks to 40 is just tickling him). We're all feeling renewed and happy to be able to start a new [slower] adventure. Welcome to the new us!
SO glad to hear you're settling in!

I love that you are enjoying the change so much! There's nothing better than initiation by fire in gardening. :) Miss you guys!
