Happy Spring everyone! I thought I'd start off the week with some darling cocktail napkins from Coral & Tusk. I love all of their products for children, but these napkins are so perfect for a spring lunch! Maybe a little picnic? Things like this make even a simple meal seem extra special. Moomah had been on my list for a long time of places I wanted to check out with London, so when my sister was in town we made it a point to go. So glad we did! The space was just as wonderful as I had imagined it and the food was delicious. Moomah is the best of all things kids love presented in a calm, natural place that is equally appealing to parents. No bright colors, no dumb kid music, no funky cartoon characters, just simple art projects to make together and healthy food to munch on. Founded by a mother of two who had tried every activity under the sun to keep her family entertained, when she finally realized that what they really needed was a simple place to connect with each other through simple activities. Hello, Moomah. At long last, a restaurant/activity center that is truly kid-friendly and caters to the modern family. Go with or without your kids – either way you'll enjoy it. I was really impressed with the huge menu of fresh local and organic foods to choose from: we tried the homemade hummus platter and organic tater tots. Let's just say I haven't seen London eat that much food in a single sitting in a looong time. Which obviously means it's not a question of if I'll go back, it's a question of when. Sadly the kids were too fidgety after that to really get serious about any art project together, but I would love to try one next time. They had tons of cute ideas! Read more about how Moomah works.

I already have a hard time getting London to concentrate on eating at the dinner table, so I'm not sure if this plate would make it better or worse...but great idea, yes? Gives a whole new meaning to playing with your food.

The more I try to go out to dinner with a very antsy toddler, the more I crave restaurants that were more accommodating and understanding of children. Meals always turn into a circus and it seems waiters totally stop coming around (probably in an effort to avoid cleaning up spilled drinks, dropped food, and the chaos in general). I don't know how many times I've had to track someone down to get my check and get the heck out of there. Koreans however have really latched onto the idea of more kid-friendly places to eat - kids cafés are on the rise there. I wish the trend would take off on this side of the world. I love the soft colors and natural wood throughout this space (designed by Podium) - such a nice break from the bright, overstimulating colors of America's Chuck E. Cheese kid's world.

My face literally got closer to the screen as I tried to get a better look at this absolutely stunning children's furniture. Designed by Stig Leander of Denmark, the clean lines and beautiful woods scream Scandinavia and I am loving it.
What is most amazing about this furniture line is its functionality. Each piece grows with your child, and converts to varying sizes to accommodate their ever growing bodies. This high chair has so many variations that it will stay with your child from baby years through teenage years!
The changing table is also super practical. Children don't stay in diapers forever, so what are you supposed to do with a changing table when those days are over? Turn it into a desk, of course! Perfectly transitions into something a child will continue to use, or to be passed on to the parent!
