ORGANIZE: Felted Storage

Although felt is one of the oldest textiles known to man, it is becoming quite popular in the modern home. The texture, functionality and sustainability make it an easy choice for a variety of products and it's no surprise that storage containers are included in the list. Felting is totally possible to do yourself and there are many methods out there to help you get just the look you're going for, but if the whole idea of felting seems totally out of reach, consider these wonderful pieces from Les Enfants du Design. They would make perfect toy bins and I imagine that their beautiful colors and interesting soft texture would be attractive to babies especially. And no need to worry about a bonk on the head with these!

Toy storage is always an issue in any kid-friendly household, and the Bulle de NUA provides a modern solution. I really think I found the organizational jackpot with Olive Manna. Every container is just beautiful and more than perfect for corralling toys, books, clothes, and other treasures that kids seem to collect. I'm especially fond of the wood gift tags they offer as well - great for labeling boxes and bins you already have.

I am shamelessly lusting over these refurbished kids furniture pieces from Les Belettes dans le Grenier. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and available for purchase on their site (price does not include shippings costs). So many great options for organization and I simply adore the little chairs and desks.

ORGANIZE: Wally from By Nord

First of all, I am tickled by the name Wally. This sophisticated wall organizer is so practical and easy to pair with just about any décor. Such a great way to keep track of all of those tiny toys and make clean up a breeze!

ORGANIZE: Cabinets from Tulp Kids

I've been really enchanted by Amsterdam's canal houses - I even designed an advent calendar inspired by them! More on that in October... So of course I was super tickled to find these shaped storage cabinets from Tulp Kids (based in Sydney, Australia). Sold in an array of colors, they are particularly charming when several are lined up together.

ORGANIZE: Circle Shelf from Bride&Wolfe

We are big into the Ostheimer toys these days (London especially loves this little set) and this circle shelf is such a cute idea for displaying them. A simple concept, but beautifully crafted. I like how it's something that kids can rearrange themselves and organization becomes entertainment.

ORGANIZE: Bookcase and stackable toy boxes from Nonah

July's issue of Vogue Bambini featured some great new furniture pieces from several different brands, but this modular bookcase reeled me in and introduced me to a great French company, Nonah. I love the rounded corners on these boxes, the mix of colors, and the fact that you can use the top of each box to store larger items or special things. Plus, it's available in several different arrangements or just single boxes to fit your needs.

These stackable toy boxes are also pretty genius. Kids can easily access their toys when they need to, and it saves tons of space! (Love the boy's expression here...)

ORGANIZE: Senegalese baskets from Serena & Lily

I think baskets are quickly becoming one of my favorite storage solutions - with one little glitch, however. No lids! Tricky to cover up a stash of toys when you can still see everything you just crammed inside of the container. Nonetheless, I still love them. :) Something sweet and homey about them.  These colorful baskets from Serena & Lily are the best of both worlds. Beautiful storage that truly keeps the contents out of sight. Love. Oh, and p.s. they just went on sale. :)

ORGANIZE: Leather Bins from Gildem

You may have already discovered Gildem, Etsy's featured seller last week. I am so impressed with her fine craftsmanship and simple, functional products. I think these leather totes are great for any modern room - a nice change from obvious, super colorful boxes and totes.
