A big welcome to my favorite season: Autumn!! We celebrated by building a fire in our backyard and stayed out in the dark for hours, warming ourselves. London would have been perfectly happy to sleep out there if we had let her. Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We had a lazy time going furniture shopping (found a new couch at an awesome price for the bonus room!) and enjoyed a lovely picnic in the park. I am amazed at the weather we have been having - clear skies, sun, temperatures in the 70s. Only one day of rain since we've arrived!
I love this beautiful cradle which is being reproduced as part of a limited numbered edition of 200 pieces. It was originally designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1963 and manufactured by Danish company Brdr. Krüger. A wonderful piece made to last the test of time and definitely an heirloom piece. Also take a peek at their rocking horse - need it bad!
Kid's bedding is a tricky thing for me...I have yet to find one I love enough to actually commit to and will most likely end up making one myself for London's bed. [Despite my scary beginning sewing skills.] I mean, it's only been 1.5 years since I bought the comforter but can't seem to pin down the perfect duvet cover. I do really like these though! Made by RAFA Kids, they are a fun spin on the doctor's eye test and the simple graphic nature is really fun. Plus they're reversible! How about you? What bedding do your kids use? Our daughter London spent her first few weeks sleeping in my husband's sock drawer (removed from the dresser, of course!) A bassinet seemed like an unnecessary expense for our meager college budget, but I can't say I'm dying to do the sock drawer again for our next baby – although it was the perfect size for a newborn! I'm getting hungry for #2, and seeing cute baby beds like this one only seem to make it worse. Don't you love the moon shape? Gorgeous.
I am sooo looking forward to the H&M Kids Home Collection that is scheduled to launch the end of this month in the U.S.! It's about time!! They have some super cute things lined up and I am loving the star prints and leopard towels. Anything you've got your eye on?
